Word of the Week: PEACE

May 10, 2016 — 1 Comment

The Word for the week comes to us by none other, the Father above.  True peace can be achieved through the love of Christ that removes fear and anxiety from our lives. Through God, we can live upon His strength vs. our own and He will carry our burdens.

How do we do live in His strength?

PRACTICE living a life of daily prayer. Don’t know what to pray?  Pray the Lords prayer – it is super powerful. Matthew 9:9-13

ENERGIZE your desire to learn who God is and commit to daily reading of the Word. Even if it’s 5 min. take time to read about who He is to gain the knowledge – this is critical. “Take Delight in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4-5 – OH! this is so very true!

ACTIVATE your thirst to know Jesus in an intimate way.  Spend time in prayer but don’t forget to stop and just listen.  Listen to the sound of peace.

CARRY your cross.  Did you know that each one of us is here to carry the cross of Christ which means that, as Christians, we are expected to share the word of God and be witnesses for Him to others. Commanded to LOVE one another while we are here. Discipleship has been stifled in our nation but you are about to see a revolution of disciples rise up to  spread the joy and rescue through the Prince of Peace, Lord Jesus.

EVANGELIZE by sharing your story.  Share your life events with others and let them see how God has impacted your life.  We are all broken people and the transparency of our brokenness speaks to the wounded hearts that are starving to know Jesus, the Son of God.  Your story matters and it’s necessary that we share how Jesus heals and saves souls.
