“A large falling tree limb almost killed me,” Keith said as he came rushing in the house with genuine panic and relief. “It took a split second for me to turn back and pick up a piece of rope I had left behind and the split second saved my life. It’s crazy!”
Tremendous relief came over me that my husband was standing in front of me alive and well sharing his story. I also thanked God at that moment for distracting him with the piece of rope. Later in the day, I paused to think about the alternative outcome of the falling tree limb and the significance of the cross made from a tree. It reminded me of the many unknown miracles that must be happening all around us. I wonder how many times God has protected me from potential harm and even death. I also thought about my loved ones in the same regard.
When we arrive in Heaven, I hope God reveals to us the imagery of our life story including the unknown miracles that He performed. I choose to believe that we are blessed with hidden miracles every day alongside the recognized miraculous. It builds our faith knowing that God is our protector and our strength.
The Lord is my strength and protector,
for he has become my deliverer. – Psalm 118:14
Walking in the strength of the Lord brings unshakable confidence, peace, and refuge.
Give heed to my prayer.
From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint;
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
For You have been a refuge for me,
A tower of strength against the enemy.
Let me dwell in Your tent forever;
Let me take refuge in the shelter of Your wings. – Psalm 61
Do you abide in His strength throughout the day knowing that He is in control and a shield for your journey?
Do you have a miracle to share? We would love to hear about it.
