The best way to begin a journey led by God is to trust your heart to tell you that you are ready. Begin to let go of the fear because it does not serve us at all, it actually keeps us at a distance from God and our rightful purpose. If you have a calling or idea that God is prompting you to do, start writing down your goals and map out a course of action to get this started. For me, it began with an idea born in Rwanda, Africa which I will share in many upcoming posts. I have always been one to ask for help and guidance, “a seeker of knowledge” if you will, so I sent out a mass email to everyone that might have some information, guidance or just a note of encouragement to share. Fortunately, I’ve never been too proud or too stubborn to ask for help – does that sound familiar? The response to this email was overwhelming! So many of God’s people are out there willing and able to lend a hand and a loving heart to their brothers and sisters in Christ. All that we have to do is ask…its really that simple!
Begin diluting the the waters of your fear into rich wine of faith. I will say this many times over throughout this blog because it is the key – you must have faith. Imagine in your mind a blue flame…a blue flame of truth to keep your attention and focus when you have doubts. Seek righteousness through this flame of truth and keep it lit in your heart and mind so it will guide you eliminating the fears. If you believe and carry this flame in your heart always seeking the truth, God will keep you safe. Don’t wander along anymore. Make a decision today that you will overcome those doubts and fears that are holding you back from your truth or a mission that God has planted in your heart.
Be brave – you are not alone.
But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.”
